Put the adjuster's offer next to your own numbers and see what it leaves out.

Compare an insurer's offer against the claimant's own specials and the estimator's range, and list what the offer does not appear to account for: treatment that is still ongoing, future care, lost earning capacity, mileage, and the fact that signing a release closes the claim permanently. Information, not advice, and never a recommendation to accept or reject.

## How this works

* This does not tell you whether to accept. It puts the offer next to your own numbers and names what is missing.
* The first test is arithmetic: does the offer clear the bills you have already run up? Anything left over is what remains for lost pay, travel and the disruption itself.
* The flags are the things adjusters are not required to point out - that treatment is still ongoing, that nothing is included for future care, that the release is permanent, and that a deadline to decide is almost never a real one.
* Florida PIP pays 80 percent of medical costs and 60 percent of lost income by statute, so a PIP-based offer is by design less than your actual loss.

Information only, not legal advice, and never a recommendation to accept or reject an offer.

## Common questions

### Should I accept this offer?

We will not tell you that, and you should be wary of anything that does without knowing your file. What this shows is what the offer covers and what it does not, so the decision is at least an informed one.

### Can I go back if I accept and then get worse?

No. A settlement release closes the claim permanently. That is the single most important thing to understand before signing, and it is why an offer made while you are still treating deserves real scrutiny.

### The adjuster says the offer expires Friday. Is that real?

Almost never in any binding sense. Your actual legal deadline is your state's statute of limitations - two years in most states, one in Tennessee. A short fuse is a negotiating tactic.
